Is This Mary, Mother Of Jesus? Image In Novelty Mirror.
I've had this mirror for years and it has always had an extraordinary feature.
There is what looks like it may be a water stain on this mirror, yet
when I turned it over and looked at the backing, which is cardboard, there is no trace of a water mark.
I’m at a loss to explain how the image got there, but here’s the story:
I inherited this mirror from my mother’s late second husband.
It was in a box of stuff that she no longer wanted after his death.
This man was Portuguese by decent and a man of the Catholic Faith.
I kept it because I always liked the old fashioned look of it.
It’s an old west era re-creation of a bathhouse sign with prices for baths and towels.
But after I hung it on the wall I immediately was struck by the image of a beautifully serene face.
A face and shoulders that seemed to be in a shawl perhaps, floated in the mirror.
The expression I perceived was one of such contentment and peace, I felt as if I was seeing a vision of Mary. I can no longer look at this and NOT see her. Is this a miracle? I don't know. I do know that I need a miracle to happen for me financially right now, and I'm willing to let this go. If you have money and an empty space on your wall, this might be just the thing for it.
Thanks for looking and God Bless all of every Faith!
