Welcome To Linda's Reborn Nursery! Private auctions are for everyone! This special baby was born on January 30, 2012 weighing 5 pounds 0 ounces and measuring 20 inches long.
I worked many years in the newborn and neonatal intensive care nurseries during my nursing career and spent countless hours caring for and observing newborns, how they move, their facial expressions, their complexions, veining, and their hair patterns. I also observed how they position their little arms and legs and how their little body felt in my arms when I held them. Every reborn I make reminds me of a little face that I have seen and taken care of during those years. I absolutely love newborns and I put that love and energy into every little one I create. I feel God has given me a gift and I am thankful for it!
I have been creating these special babies for about 12 years now and I have many happy adoptive mommies with many returning to adopt another. Feel free to check my feedback. I use only quality materials and components to make my babies so you can be assured of getting a quality reborn to hug and cuddle when ever you feel the need! These babies never cry or wake you in the night, there is no spitting up or messy pants, they are the perfect baby! I sign each one on their little bottom and they bring home with them a birth anouncement and hospital ID bracelet for the new mommy to fill out. I don't name my babies as I know only a mother can choose the perfect name for her baby.
This baby started out as a blank kit by the very talented Adrie Stoete. The name of the sculpt is Lulu. This baby is now a one of a kind beautiful and lifelike newborn baby girl! It was a real pleasure to reborn this doll!
I began by micro rooting her cute little head in a natural growth pattern with premium angora mohair in dark brown. It is so soft and silky and has a slght wave to it! I used a 42 guage german rooting needle to get a true micro root with only 1-2 hairs per follicle. I then sealed it on the inside of her head with a water proof sealant.
I achieved her beautiful baby complexion using paints specifically designed for painting on vinyl. I paint my babies in several different colors and layers to give the skin depth and a beautiful and lifelike slightly uneven baby complexion. Her beautiful coloring is so lifelike! She has been blushed and detailed in all her cute little baby places! I have also given her delicate veining every where a newborn would have it like her feet, ankles, hands, her forehead and temples. Since I am not a photographer it is very difficult to capture her realistic skin tone in pictures but it is truly very lifelike! All of her pictures were taken in natural daylight without the use of a flash. It is snowing here today so it is kind of overcast and gray out. I have to work with what I have been given so some of her pictures are kind of dark but there are plenty of good ones so you can clearly see her skin tone and complexion. I painted her lips in several layers until I acheived the realistic color I was looking for and then sealed them with a satin sealer to give them a slightly dewy look. I gave this baby beautiful dark brown eyes and framed them with upper dark lashes to match her hair. I hand painted her wispy eyebrows. I then put her together on a jointed doe suede body that makes her very posable, soft, and cuddly! I weighted her body with a mix of bagged pellets and polyfil to give her a realistic feeling weight. Her head has been weighted in the same way. She also has had her 3/4 arms and legs weighted with white craft sand and plugged. I cannot get the glass beads for weighting where I live so I use white craft sand that I purchase in 2 pound bags at the craft store. The two weighting mediums are very similar. Her little nails have been tinted, tipped and sealed with a satin sealer to protect them and they look very natural. She looks so real you expect her to coo at any moment! Her pictures do not do her justice! She feels so amazingly real in your arms! She just curls right up like a real baby! This baby needs to be handled just like a real baby and by that I mean that you need to support her head and pick her up by her body, not by her arms or legs.
This baby will come home in the brand new pale pink toile 4 piece outfit by Savannah Baby that she is wearing in her photos along with her New 2 piece Valentines outfit that consists of a white onesie with pink and red hearts on the front and a pair of pink pants, Also included are her pink booties, white onesie, pink baby headband, pamper, and faux formula bottle! This outfit looks gorgeous on her! This baby wears newborn to 3 month size baby clothes so you can have fun dressing her. The faux formula bottle is non toxic and sealed to prevent leaks but it is not for children to play with, it is for posing purposes only. This baby does not have a magnetic pacifier but one can be added upon request.
Traveling expenses for this little one will be 25.00 for priority mail with insurance and delivery confirmation or use the Buy It Now option and receive free shipping, insurance, and delivery confirmation in the USA. If I have over estimated the shipping costs I will refund any difference of one dollar or more by paypal.
