I loved this documentary. Of course it discussed the coal situation in Appalachia, which is where I'm from so I had personal interest. But furthermore, it is a great documentary because it portrayed both sides-the coal miners and coal companies versus the people that live there and the environmentalists. In the end it does support the environmentalist view (but how could it not?). I am an environmental science teacher and can definitely use this film to discuss the pros and cons and have students decide for themselves and do further research.
Actually Very Good, would have liked to see a little more interaction between the 2 sides, but very good and well done. Amazing though how in the U.S., more so than most other countries, the 1 side can be so out of touch with reality, and actually try to use non-facts to bolster it's position. That along with scare tactics and bullying seem to be prevelent throughout U.S. society. It all boils down to Dollars and cents, combined with greed and a fountain of corporate "mis-information" The people would do well to look at what's being done to others by the "profiteers" because one day they may find it in their back yard. Clean water and enjoyment of one's property is a "right" not a privlege! Shame on Government for not guaranteeing this!
