Flow Era Snowboard 2012:
The Flow Era Snowboard is built to stand the test
of time, literally transcending generations, in everything from graphics to
construction. The Era utilizes Flow’s Whiskey
Royale technology, biax fiberglass inserts beneath the rider’s bindings that
eliminate chatter and provide a smooth ride. Equipped with Flow’s signature I-ROCK reverse camber, the Era
allows you to land almost anything and it has a convex base to keep your edges
off the rails. Long after we’re gone, the Forum Era will still be rippin 1080’s
and backside rodeos like nobody’s business. Flex and Rider Style:Flex Rating – 2.5 (1 Softest – 5
Stiffest) // The Era is geared towards those who spend the majority of the time
in the park or who like to jump off logs, cliffs and whatever other obstacles
you may find on the mountain.
- Construction and Core:Whiskey Shooter uses 4 precured
carbon plates with a unique shape that tapers into the tips in a reveres “V” for
the most pop without chatter while freeing up the nose and tail. // Whiskey
Royale technology utilizes Biax Fiberglass beneath the heel and toe areas of the
binding, eliminating chatter and making for a smoother ride. By directing the
glass toward the edge, Flow increases the edge
hold while allowing for quicker, easier turn initiation and delivering a
responsive ride and increasing the life of the board.
- Shape:I-ROCK reverse camber is combined with a convex base
for a more natural feel on rails and smoothness in the chop. This, in
combination with camber starting before the binding area, provides stability and
camber-like pop no matter where you mount your bindings. // TruTwin is the
essential shape for a park board. Equidistant amounts of nose and tail allow a
rider to ride regular or goofy anytime.
- Sidewalls, Edges and Base:Optix 2000 high density, extruded
base that is extremely easy to maintain and fix is one of the highest
wax-absorbing bases on the market and will give you all the speed you need even
if you don’t wax on a regular basis. // EZ Dual Transitional sidecut designed
around Flow’s rocker boards is mellow between the
bindings and at the tips with a more aggressive grip in the binding areas. This
creates a more forgiving ride when things get a bit bumpy, and a tight radius
blended for quick, snappy, powerful carving.
