The best maintainer on the market. One it has mounting holes, not to worry is never gets hot like other brand name. Two, when you unplug it the from you vehicle the unit shuts off, no blinking lights. It keeps my motorcycles battery fully charged. It cranked right over when I started it the other day. And lastly it has fairly long cords, but can be plugged into an extension cord where other brand must be plugged directly into the wall socket.

One cant expect it to do much more than trickle charge (a slow, methodical charging) and it does that well. The problem is the indicator lamp. Mine, when first plugged in, will be red until its properly connected to the battery. When it sees a good connection and should blink green. It doesn't. Mine goes right into solid green which should indicate a fully charged battery. I've tested the battery and it was at low, barely holding 8v when it should be 12-13 fully charged. But if I leave it on all night it will charge the battery well. It just wont blink indicating a ready state. It should be: RED= Not connected BLINK GREEN= CONNECTED CHARGING SOLID GREEN= FULLY CHARGED But mine is: RED= Not connected BLINK GREEN= Never does SOLID GREEN= FULLY CHARGED and or CONNECTED Hope this helps someone...Read full review

This is a really well conceived and nicely executed product. The plastic seems a bit light but it has guards to protect it from getting shattered when the inevitable drop on the concrete floor happens. The transformer is compact and light making it less likely to slip out of your fingers or come unplugged from a wall socket. Nice long cords! I don't have to run extension cords all over the garage. Three modes of connecting to the cars triples flexibility. Having both 6 and 12 Volt is a HUGE thing for those of us with both older and newer cars. That doubles the flexibility. The price is not bad -- certainly better than competitive float chargers. This tool should NOT be compared to or confused with trickle chargers that can be purchased for a few dollars. This unit gives a slow, deep charge but it cuts itself off when the battery gets to full charge. Trickle chargers keep trickling even after the battery is topped up. This boils away electrolyte, it sulfates the battery, and it's not especially safe. The BM3B is one of the very few reasonably priced maintainers that can be used on wet, gel, and AGM batteries. For anybody who has purchased a super expensive Optima battery and then ruined it with a cheap maintainer, this is huge. Power demand is much lower than other float chargers. I ordered a half-dozen to try them out. Love 'em. Gonna order another dozen. Do shop around because there is variability in price -- unlike some other float chargers.Read full review

Works well with 6V and 12V batteries. I use this charger for my motorcycle and car when stored for the season. Easy to use. Comes with few different battery attachments. Built durable.

good value item easy to use by plugging into cig lighter plug to keep batteries in my Freightliner truck charged . since I am not using the big truck all the time this charger is just what I needed to maintain full charge. time will show how durable it is but at this point I am happy.
