mass delete then and there would be a good chance that I will not see your
reading similar information in other seller’s listing, I found this a great
idea. These are typical questions that I often get from customers. So before
you ask me, read these first. You might get a chuckle out of some of them and
you might actually learn something about eBay from the seller’s standpoint! J Keep in mind, that these are the answers
that I would love to say to the customer but probably won’t word it that way!
Will you take $5 for this item?
Did you see a “make an offer” on the item? If not, then the answer is no.
I really like this item. Can you tell me where you bought it?
I’ll be happy to tell you where I get all of my items because I don’t want you
to buy it from me!
I bought the red one in size 12 months because I couldn’t select the green one
in 24 months. Can you send me the green one in 24 months?
Sorry! You couldn’t select the green one, because I don’t have it! You will get
what you selected so please make sure that you select the correct one! (I’ve
gotten negative and neutral feedback several times because people don’t
understand the option feature in listings!)
I didn’t mean to buy this item. Can you cancel the sale?
REALLY? It’s not like you press one button to buy an item. It is several steps
to do so. Did you know that I get charged a fee once you hit “buy it now”? And
the only way that the fee gets reversed is if I initiate a form to cancel the
sale and you need to fill it out as well.
I just bought 3 items and paid for them separately. Can you combine shipping
I combine shipping and handling when you make ONE payment. Not THREE! It costs
me more for each payment that you send me through Pay-pal. So why should I have to pay more when you
didn’t ask for an invoice BEFORE paying? Although it may seem a small fee to
you, when you sell lots of items, those fees can really add up! Make sure you
ask for an invoice BEFORE paying for your package.
I just made my payment. Can you ship it to my granddaughter at a different
Sure, but why didn’t you set up a different “ship to” address in your Pay-pal
account and select that address when you paid for it? It takes seconds for you
to do and it requires no additional financial information. I automatically
print shipping labels so that means I have to make sure that I go in and
manually type in the change of address. And when you ship as many packages as I
due daily, that can be a hassle.
I bought this item on Monday and according to eBay, it should have arrived by
now. What’s up?
E-bay gives you an estimate based on when I normally ship my packages, which is
within 24 hours of receiving payment (unless my store is on vacation!). If you
look at the tracking you will see that I shipped it within that time frame. I
can’t control how the postal service works. I can only promise to ship the
package within that time frame as long as my store is not on vacation. So
please don’t blame me for how efficient the postal service is or is not!
I got this item and it’s damaged. What is your response?
First, let me apologize for that. I sell new items and I, like you, expect them
to be in perfect condition (unless noted in the listing). However, I am only
human and sometimes things slip by me. Please send me a picture of the damaged
item and I will take care of the problem for you.
The item that I received is not what I ordered.
First, let me apologize. It’s not my policy to ship you an item that you did
not order. However, I am only human and I do make mistakes. I will ship you out
the correct item with an envelope inside that will be postage paid and have my
return address already on it. All you’ll need to do is to stick it in your
mailbox for your mailperson to pick up.
I’m from another country and the customs fees are really high. Can you change
the amount that I paid on the customs form and check off that the package is a

the package cheaper. NOT! It’s illegal for me to do that and I like being in
business so please don’t even think of asking me that! In all of my listings, I
am required by e-bay to have a large printed section explaining international

Anther seller is selling this same item for less. Can you reduce your selling
First of all, is it the same color, size, brand, etc. If so, then by all means
buy it from them! (First check their feedback so to make sure that they are in
good standing). I keep my prices as low
as possible. And I know that when I check what other people are selling the
same item, I usually am one of the lowest around.
Can you please leave me feedback?
If you would like me to leave you feedback, then you need to do it for me
first. I’ve always believed that the transaction isn’t complete until the buyer
receives the item and is happy with the transaction so that’s why they should
leave it first. If they are not pleased, they should contact the seller to have
any issues resolved BEFORE leaving feedback. I personally like the opportunity
to make things right! I have an automatic feedback system that will leave you
feedback once it has been left for me. Approximately 40% of my customers don’t
leave feedback, so why should I leave it for them?
SOUTH AMERICAN COUNTRIES – Due to the fact
that a lot of my packages shipped to your countries seem to “disappear” in the
customs offices, I will no longer ship items via first class international. I
will only ship them Global Priority Mail so that there will be complete tracking
and I will be protected! I’ve lost a lot of money shipping packages there that
just don’t seem to arrive. I will only ship Priority Mail. There are NO
EXCEPTIONS! I can use flat rate padded Priority envelopes if you wish to
purchase more than one item. Some orders can be shipped that way and it can be
a lot cheaper than regular priority mail. BUT contact me FIRST to see if you
order can fit into one of them.
COMBINED SHIPPING AND HANDLING
In order to get combined shipping and
handling, you must make ONE payment. If you purchase more than one item do NOT
pay until I have sent you an invoice. It costs me more money when you pay in
multiple payments, so the only way that I will combine shipping and handling is
if you make ONE payment! There are NO exceptions!
RETURN POLICY – Some items do NOT
qualify for returns such as lingerie items, bathing suits and bedding, due to
hygiene issues (for everyone’s protection). So please READ the return policy in
