You are bidding on a RARE NOS New Old Stock farm implement piece for Moline Milwaukee or Keystone farm equipment.  Part number A257 listed in parts manual for Moline Milwaukee Plain Lift Gear Drive Mower.   This is the wood pitman arm for this mowing machine to drive the sickle bar.  It is very plainly marked with part number A257 and also marked for Keystone.  This item comes from old stock that was still on the shelf of a hardware and implement store that closed its doors some time ago.  Made of oak.   Measures 33 1/2" inches long.  Thickness is 11/8" x 1 1/2" inches.  Has 4 1/4" inch drilled holes on either end through the thickness from each direction.  (See image).  This inventory item was stored with other pitman arms and binder replacement items at Balster's Implement and Hardware Company of Scotch Grove Iowa.    If you are a collector of rare and unusual farm implement items or you are restoring old equipment, this would be a great item for your consideration.  I have one of these hanging with my collection as a conversation piece.
