~"MoonShadow"~
One of my entries for this month's Nibblefest Art Contest (NFAC) (--the
theme for February being 'Moonlight')
is an original acrylic painting on vellum, which I have mounted permanently onto a 3.5" x 8" reclaimed, 3/4" thick wooden board. 'MoonShadow' is signed on the front, and ready to hang. I very much enjoyed this month's Nibblefest theme. Being as that I love to listen to music as I work, the theme of "Moonlight' brought to mind all my many favourite songs that have the word 'moon' or 'moonlight' in their titles or lyrics. One of my favourite tunes has always been 'Moon Shadow', by Cat Stevens. I have many fond memories of my older siblings playing it at home when I was growing up. With its simple, cheerful melody and optimistic lyrics, it's a song that stuck with me all these years, and one I often sang aloud to my own children..... (to read more about this entry and my art, please visit my art blog at: art-of-patience.blogspot.com).... Unique and one-of-a-kind, 'MoonShadow' would make a lovely addition to any art
collection ....'Nibblefest' is a friendly, monthly
themed art contest which
begins on the 20th each and every month. To see MORE fabulous
art contest entries starting at a mere .99 cents, just search
'NFAC' in the search bar.... ~The Art of Patience~
Fascinated by art since my
earliest years, I find for my own well-being, I really must
have several creative projects going on all at once, in
various stages of completion, at any given time.... I find participating in these various monthly, themed Ebay art contests (NFAC, SEHA, and ACEO Theme Week) a wonderfully fun outlet and exercise for creativity. I usually end up painting the first few things that come to mind when personally reflecting upon the Theme, and there is almost always a little Story behind (and hence a little piece of me within) the art..... My name is Patience, and I am an artist living in the American Midwest. Having always an artistic bent, I formally studied painting, design and sculpting at the University of Illinois, while pursuing my Bachelor's in Interior Design. Today I continue my exploration into fine art, sculpture, mask making, and illustration within my own home studio. -----Thank you for visiting!---- |
