Important Instructions and Notes on Battery Use
1.Charge before using. Read your camera manual for charging instructions. Use only the charger that comes with your camera.
2, When not in use remove from camera and store in cool dry place.
3. Do not short circuit the terminals. This battery is protected with an internal self-resetting fuse, but short circuits may still cause severe damage to the battery. Be careful where you set the battery down.
4. Keep away from fire and do not incinerate when disposing of the battery…it may explode.
5. Under no circumstances should you attempt to open this battery case
6.Do not expose battery to rain or moisture.
7. Running time depends on the power demanded. Statements such as “2 hour run time” refer to neat laboratory tests of simple non-stop recording. Use of zoom, automatic focus, tape review, ect., all demand extra power and shorten run time.
8. The life of the battery, under normal conditions, may be as long as 500 charge-discharge cycles.
CAUTIONS:
- Never dispose of batteries in fire or water.
- Never touch the battery terminals with metal objects.
- Always recharge battery on proper charger.
- Don not attempt to open battery
- Do not drop battery or subject it to strong shocks.
- Do not use at temperatures below –10 degrees C (-15 degrees F) or above + 40 degrees (105 degrees F).
Use of battery at very high temperatures will activate the safety circuit disallowing use.
TO MAXIMIZE PERFORMANCE:
- Make sure the battery is fully recharged before reuse.
- Do not attempt repeat recharging more than 3 times.
- Clean the battery and terminal with a clean soft dry cloth.
- The battery may be warm during use and or recharging. This is normal.
- Total natural discharge may occur during long storage periods.
- Remove the battery from charger or power unit when not in use. Some machines use current even when switched off.
- When operation time has noticeably shortened, battery may need to be replaced.
When recharging a new battery or one that has not been used for months, your charger may indicate the battery has been fully recharged after a few minutes. Please do not disconnect the battery and charger, because the recharging is not complete yet. The charger will recharge the battery in about 10 hours. This is not a problem. The same battery will be fully rechargers within 2 hours next time. The battery will require 3 to 5 charges/discharges before achieving its rated capacity.
