I purchased this book as a reference for a graduate level foundation design course, and it has served me well. The material is presented in a very logical and easy-to-understand way. Coduto seems to provide a very nice mix of geotechnical and structural design in this book. A brief review of basic geotechnical and structural concepts is available in the first few chapters, though these reviews are far from comprehensive. Thus, it will be almost necessary for the user of this book to have some experience with both geotechnical and structural engineering. (Undergraduate introductory courses in these subjects should provide all of the necessary background.) Overall, Coduto's Foundation Design is highly recommended as a resource for students, and also as a resource for practicing engineers.Read full review

The book was a good price, and was sent very quickly. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs this for a class, or would like to learn about the subject.
