This is a great starter tablet with a resistive touch screen (works best with a stylus pen). If you are looking for a tablet with a more responsive capacitive touch screen (what most smart phones have today) we recommend checking out these very reasonably priced higher quality tablets.
They have the new Android 4.0 OS and contain the updated Android market etc. They also function much faster and smoother. Check the link above for more information and video demos on those models.

This is a great ?entry level? tablet for the price. You can browse the web,
check email, access the Android market and download apps etc. Expecting it to
perform equivalent to a $600 tablet is unrealistic. Please keep that in mind
when considering this item. (More details below)
The tablet carries a 7" resistive screen and runs Android
version 2.2 Hardware is 256MB RAM DDR2,
It has a `Nandflash' internal drive at 4GB though it can have an additional
Micro SD card (up to 32GB) inserted to support expanded storage.
The tablet includes Wifi 802.11b/g capability, Ethernet, USB
ports via adapter, microphone, headphone socket and stereo 1W speakers.
The battery is set internally. Should access ever be required it is necessary to
remove the complete rear cover by unclipping via the two small access holes on
one end.
Typical laptop capability is present on the tablet - Web browsing, email, audio
/ video playback, downloading, time/date, organization, calculator, document,
file management and setting functions. It has video playback in a variety of
formats including AVI and MPEG as well as MP3, WMAs and other audio formats.
Operation is via a simple ON/OFF push button on the top to boot up or down,
there is also a toggle switch here which has different functions depending on
what's running!
LCD Resistive screen responds well once you get the knack of point selection /
dragging with your finger.
General Playback Audio quality - 1 Watt integral speakers sound great.
Headphones work great on both counts. Uses 3.5mm standard, stereo jack.
