As the top cover has no open cut, the dirt will NOT get between the top cover and your MacBook top panel easily. However, you may still need to take the top cover off and use a soft cloth to wipe off the dirt on the screen and top panel of your MacBook once every month. Please note there are other overseas sellers(like from Hong Kong) who are selling a type of MacBook hard case(sample shown in the following picture) with cut-out Apple logo which infringes the Apple trademark logo and let dirts accumulate between the top cover and MacBook top panel easily and scratch your MacBook.

USAGE:
To put on the case: 1) keep your MacBook closed. 2) Place MacBook in bottom half of case, snap on the corners and back 'hooks'. 3) Place top half of the case on top of MacBook, snap on corners.
To remove the case: 1) Pull the small tabs away from the MacBook corners to remove the case. 2) Open the MacBook and pull off the front corners first , then pop off the back.
