Well, you would be right- but now you can add huge sustain and resonance to the mix! The RG470 features a lightweight ash body for incredible natural acoustics, solid bottom end, and nice round highs. This is a solid tone machine for certain. The Ibanez INF pickups grab this sweet tone and add their own distinctive flair. The bridge pickup is perfect for big crunch and solid lead tones. The middle pickup gives you those Hendrixy single coild sounds. And, the neck pickup fills the room with incredible sustain. Of course, with the 5 way switch, any distorted or clean tone you want is right there. The neck here is an extremely thin C profile- satin finished for the ultimate in speed. Add to that the 16" fretboard radius and you have an incredible player. Chords are easy and bends are effortless. Then you have the Edge III double locking tremolo. The Edge is a favorite of floating bridge players everywhere. With its high mass construction it enables great tone transfer. Push, pull, dive, or climb- always smooth with excellent tuning stability. The aesthetics here are pure Ibanez- natural wood grains, bound neck, shark tooth inlays, and and smoked chrome hardware. This baby is new, professionally set up to go, and includes the tremolo bar! One very small indent on the back of the neck from being on display.
