NAD 5120 Turntable, Audiophile quality, Excellent throughout 

This auction is for a lovely condition NAD 5120 stereo turntable, an excellent mid-range deck, complete with a very nice Goldring Eland cartridge & stylus.

For anyone wishing to get into vinyl, or re-discover their record collection, this would be an excellent choice. It plays 33 and 45, and comes with an integrated, good quality tonearm and Goldring Elan cartridge with a stylus which has seen very little use, so will have most of its life ahead of it.

It is a minimalist design, using belt drive and a fully suspended chassis, just like the very high end decks. The Hi-Fi press raved about this deck, and it remained a firm favorite in the entry level class for many years. It was something of a giant killer, performing way above its price point.

This example is in superb condition, the plinth has a couple of very minor marks (I’m being picky and the photos couldn’t pick them up) and the lid is in great condition with the minimum of the usual light polishing marks. The hinges are also perfect. Overall, it looks stunning, you can judge for yourself from the photos.

It has a mains lead attached and the tonearm cable terminates in the standard RCA phono plugs.

Operationally it is perfect, with a good belt, and sounds really very good. Depending on the rest of your system, there is little point spending a lot more money, and even in a fairly high end setup, this deck can hold its own.
