What did Joel and the bots do to deserve this one? There are no pod people in this movie, for starters. There are alien eggs that appear to have plucked, raw chickens in them. The movie has a semblance of a plot, at least, unlike some other MST3K faves like Red Zone Cuba. But the weird synthesized music, the cheesy alien costumes and liberal use of the fog machine make this one a good movie for MST3K. It's a bad movie otherwise, of course. The producers couldn't seem to figure out if they wanted scary aliens or friendly aliens, so they ended up with a strange Alf-like creature with a long nose that can be either evil or not, depending on factors that aren't clear in the movie. The "rock band" is the funniest part of the movie, especially when Joel, the Bots and the Mads recreate the song recording scene, using their own version of the song's unintelligible lyrics. The opening sequence of this movie comes from a different movie entirely. And the special effects would be considered more "no budget" than "low budget". If you are a collector of MST3K you will want this one.Read full review
"No Trumpie No" This movie has it all... Alien babies, weird poachers, mysterious woods.... not the fog again. Stranded musicians, angry backwoodsmen. Joel and company give this one the royal treatment and I laughed till I cried. This is truly one of the best!
One of the best MST3K episodes ever! Trumpy says it all!! It needs One hundred characters for this review, so hopefully this should do it...BUY THIS MOVIE!!
