I've had this Fountain Pen in my collection for over ten years. As you can see from the paperwork, it was first sold in Japan for 45,000 Yen!!! Montblanc is the market leader there. There's not much more that can be said about this stunning pen that has not been written already. This style was first produced by Montblanc in 1952 with an improved piston mechanism from earlier models. According to Lambou's Fountain pens of the World, "This ageless streamlined shape replaced the earlier 139. When Montblanc reorganized it's lineup in 1959, this was the only pen not to be replaced. This model had a nib of 14c gold two tone nib. "Germany" is inscribed on the top ring and I do not see a serial number. I sell only to the United States and free USPS priority insured shipping is included. On Feb-07-12 at 19:04:21 PST, seller added the following information: This model has a two section barrel which, with the bi-color nib, dates it to between 1985-1990 or thereabouts. On original paperwork, please let me clarify that only the instruction booklet in Japanese and the silver price tag are included. I do not have the original warranty. |
