This is the original deep-groove mono pressing of Miles Davis “Miles Ahead” on the six-eye labels of Columbia CL 1041. The playing surface is mint, with a high luster; perhaps played once. The “frame” cover is bright, clean and unworn throughout. (This cover is famous: when Miles saw that Columbia put a white woman’s image on his record, he demanded that it be withdrawn and replaced.) Illustrated inner sleeve is included.
Personnel include the Gil Evans Orchestra, Paul Chambers, and Art Taylor.
