Kent Coffey Perspecta Dining Room Set

Description:

Here's a very sharp looking and unusual 1960's Broyhill Brasilia wall unit that could serve many purposes due to its multifunctional design. All Broyhill lines are well made, sturdy, and of high quality .... so this piece is very well crafted in every aspect, with attention paid to every detail. The walnut of this two piece unit is a deep mocha color and is accented with wonderful arched Brasilia pulls (both wood and metal) and relief on panels. Also, its odor and stain free interior is solid oak, just want you want in a quality 60's piece, and all of its drawers and doors operating with ease. This Brasilia gem is in overall very nice condition with slight character from decades of normal use - any minor these have all been touched or cleaned up (please read the Refinishing and Restoration section below). Note the configuration of its drawers, doors, and shelves, and there are also two sliding glass doors for the upper left portion not shown in photos so the inside can be seen without reflection from our hot lights. This terrific storage piece now has a fresh coat of soft satin lacquer and would make a fine addition to any MCM home.

Please read all of the information below before bidding and e-mail with any questions or simply call us at 410.804.4444. Also, check out the other nice Mid-Century items that we currently have listed on Ebay by clicking here - ORIONSOBJECTS. Thanks and have a great day!

Condition: Very nice condition. Shows slightest signs of normal use. No stains, rings, breaks, odors, etc. Repair to minor veneer losses.

Refinishing and Restoration:

We put great effort into our refinishing and/or restoration and strive to provide you with a wonderful piece of furniture at a reasonable cost. The term "refinished" or "restored" is used in our descriptions to indicate the process chosen for a given piece. Each item is evaluated, and then we employ a variety of refinishing or restoration techniques depending on the severity of wear to the pieces' original finish and its wood type - usually birch, walnut, rosewood, or teak. Refinishing involves completely removing the original finish, making any small repairs, sanding to 400 grit, staining, and lastly the application of a finish coat of either oil, or satin or gloss lacquer, once again determined by the piece and wood type. Restoration involves slightly breaking down the original finish of a piece with denatured alcohol, making any small repairs, and lastly the application of oil or lacquer over the original finish. Some of the products we most commonly use are M.L.Campbell professional stains, Watco Danish Oil, and Deft nitrocellulose lacquer. Our touch-ups and minor repairs are made using a vast array of Mohawk professional products. All drawers and doors are checked for smooth operation and all metal parts cleaned or polished. In order to gave you the best idea of the finished color of each piece we use descriptive terms such as apple juice, caramel, honey, amber, cocoa, espresso, etc. Please e-mail or call 410.804.4444 with any questions regarding refinishing or restoration.

Upholstery:

All of our upholstered pieces are given the same degree of attention as our refinished pieces, and then some. All wood parts are refinished as described in the Refinishing and Restoration section. Next our very talented upholsterer takes over, who was recently voted "Best of Baltimore", in the Baltimore City Paper. All foam is replaced with high density foam, the finest grade available, webbing is replaced, and lastly, zippered cushions are made or a piece is recovered using one of our woven wools. On occasion we sell pieces before we have them upholstered. In these cases our intent is to give you options with fabric colors and on some pieces wood color and finish. We have on hand colors such as charcoal, black, dijon, maraschino red, avocado, electric blue, and eggplant, but you are welcome to provide your own fabric. Please call us at 410.804.4444 to discuss "ready to be" upholstered pieces and all available options. The turn around time for our upholstery work is on the fast side as we have a very strong relationship with our upholsterer. We will place you in direct contact with our upholsterer should we assist you in the complete upholstery process.

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your item, or simply have any questions regarding your purchase, please contact us immediately by calling 410.804.4444 or by contacting us through eBay . Do not open an eBay Case before contacting us. This is a very unnecessary action that results in serious implications for both buyers and sellers. Ebay Cases are not to be used as a means of simple communication. Bid with confidence and know that your happiness is our primary objective.

Shipping:

SHIPPING IS FREE in the continental US with all items purchased using the Buy It Now option. Winning bidders pay actual shipping charges. Our FREE shipping on But It Now purchases may be either a blanket wrapped shipper who brings the item into your home or Greyhound PackageXpress, in which case you'll have to pick the item up at your local Greyhound terminal, but you will receive it quite fast, usually in a matter of days. Our decision on shipping method depends on your location, our cost or your cost, and our blanket wrap shippers schedules and areas serviced. For most items we use blanket wrapped delivery services, but with some pieces it is much more economical and timely to use Greyhound PackageXpress. We will discuss all options with you at the end of auction. E-mail us your zip code if you would like us to get a shipping quote for you. We begin the shipping process immediately upon receipt of payment and will provide you with tracking information shorty thereafter. After purchase, we need your exact shipping address, along with your best phone numbers and e-mail for shipper contact. For Mid-West and West Coast deliveries, we use Penn Antique Transportation, TSC Moving, or Plycon Van Lines. For East Coast deliveries we use Penn Antique Transportation or TSC Moving. In the event that you are not in one of our shippers delivery areas, we may use a Uship.com shipper. Please e-mail us if you feel that you are in a remote location and we will get a quote for you. Shipments may take just a couple of days to six weeks depending on current truck loads, your location, and the shipper's schedules. We do our best to ship items as fast as possible, but please be patient. For smaller items we use either UPS, Fedex, or Greyhound PackageXpress. You will have to pick up Greyhound PackageXpress packages at your local Greyhound station, but this is a very cost effective and fast way to ship. These smaller items will be received just a few days after payment. We will give you shipping options at the end of auction, depending on the size if the piece, your location, and all other factors. Please call 410.804.4444 or e-mail us with any shipping questions.

Policies:

Refunds are not given on furniture purchases due to the high cost of shipping and nature of vintage furniture. It should be assumed that all pieces have character and/or baseline of wear consistent with decades of normal use. Although we try our best to describe our items in detail, and put much effort into refinishing and restoration, we can't describe every minor normal use issue with each piece of vintage furniture. Please ask all question before bidding. We are just a phone call away and are always happy to discuss a particular piece in detail and answer any questions you may have.

Variation in color or hot spots in photographs are simply light glare and/or reflections. Please e-mail or call 410.804.4444 with any specific questions regarding condition, color, etc.
