What is Beyblade 4D?

Metal Fight Beyblade 4D is the 2011 sequel and  third installment of the Japanese anime television series based on Takafumi  Adachi's manga series Beyblade: Metal Fusion, which itself is based on the  Beyblade spinning top game from Takara Tomy and Hasbro.[1] Following directly  after Beyblade: Metal Masters, the series is produced by d-rights and Nelvana  under the direction of Kunihisa Sugishima.[2] The series features Gingka and  company as they travel the world in search for the remaining eight "Legend  Bladers" needed to defeat Nemesis, the ultimate evil. The series was first  broadcast on TV Tokyo in Japan starting April 3, 2011.

The 4D system introduces a new type of Beyblades.  These Beyblades have new tips and spin tracks. They are fused. These tips/tracks  change from different modes.

What is Beyblade?

Beyblade  is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Takao Aoki.  Originally serialized in CoroCoro Comic from 2000-2002, the individual  chapters were collected and published in 14 tankōbon volume by  Shogakukan. The series focuses on a group of kids who form teams with  which they battle one another using highly powerful spinning tops called  "Beyblades" which are enchanted with magical spirits.The manga  is licensed for English language release in North America by Viz Media.  The manga was adapted into a three season anime series. The first  season, spanning 51 episodes, aired in Japan on TV Tokyo from January 8,  2001 to December 24, 2001. The second season, Beyblade V-Force ran for  another 51 episodes from January 7, 2002 until December 30, 2002. The  third season, Beyblade G Revolution, spanned 52 episodes and ran from  January 6, 2003 until its conclusion on December 29, 2003. All three  seasons are licensed for English adaptation, broadcast, and release in  North America by Nelvana.
