Bought the Mizuno irons because of the Mizuno reputation and to replace my Taylormade R9s which I was not happy with. 1st time I used these clubs, the ball rocketed off the club face solidly. Great feel and look. Only wished I didn't see the cavity with the 4 iron. Overall great feel and distance.
Shot 8 under my handicap the first round. Went to the driving range after that round to work with the swing. I was hitting my Callaway Fusion 5 iron 175. Hit this 5 15 yards over the 175 flag. Must be the hollow design. I've always wanted to play Mizuno, my better golfing friends have played their blades. Now I have some. I may switch to the XPJ800's, tried them at Golf Galaxy, the rep said I would loose the extra distance but I really liked the soft slug feel when hitting the sweet spot. If you're looking for extra distance and accuracy, Mizuno has it with this club. You may even feel like your cheating.
The moment I hit the first ball I was hooked. These clubs have a fantastic feel off the face and give you plenty of extra distance without trying to smash the ball down the fairway. They are perfectly weighted and just feel right in my hands. I have given up ever owning Taylormade or Callaway clubs because these Mizuno MX1000 beat them, hands down.
These Irons are the newest model from Mizuno well known for their extremely High Quality clubs. This set of irons is FANTASTIC - I'm receiving about 1 extra club length per iron (IE 6 iron plays like a 5 iron), and the crispness of the impact and follow through is quite beautiful. A solid feel on impact with excellent spin control and green "land and stay" power. Best set of irons I have ever owned!
Probably The Easiest To Hit Irons On The Market.
