Meade ETX-125 138mm Catadioptric Telescope with Advanced Field Tripod 887 

This telescope is in excellent condition optically, mechanically, and electronically. I am the second owner and have only used it a handful of times. The optics are flawless and feature Meade's optional Ultra High Transmission Coatings (UHTC) which gives the scope about 15% brighter images at the eyepiece. The is a newer version ETX125 and has the much improved cast aluminum bearing supports. The #497 Autostar is like new and the screen has no bad pixels. The keypad is backlit for easy viewing at night. The #887 Tripod is in excellent condition as well and features the super heavy duty legs for use with the Equatorial Wedge Mount 07002 and also includes the adaptor 889. If you want to do photography this is the set-up for you.  I'm sure you would spend  $700.00 just for the tripod, adaptor and equatorial wedge if you can even find them.  This tripod is way, way more heavy duty than the usual tripod that comes with the scope.  The wedge allows you to follow objects without having to painstakingly follow the object to keep up with it.  This is a fully computerized telescope with full Go-To and tracking ability with a library of 30,000 objects. It knows when an object can be viewed and when it is below the horizon and it will tell you details about the selected object as well. It also features a 'Tonight's Best' guided tour that it determines based on your location and the time of year. It's great starter scope that is easy to use, easy to transport and set up, and provides a lot of fun for your entire family.  So if you are looking for the heavy duty set-up for this telescope this is the one you want!
