BUY IT NOW: Martin Committee Flugelhorn, Serial Number 705089, circa. 1964-1965.  As indicated by the "3" under the Serial Number, this is a Large Bore horn (.468). This great horn is being liquidated out of my collection.  I've owned and occasionally played this horn for more than 30 years - it has that unique Martin Flugelhorn sound, i.e., dark, full and rich when played with a large mouthpiece.  This is the same model Martin Committee Flugelhorn played by Miles Davis in the 1950's and 1960's when Miles recorded great jazz albums with John Coltrane and Cannonball Adderley in New York City - a wonderful sounding Flugelhorn.  It comes with it's original case, and a Martin 1F Flugelhorn Mouthpiece (large, deep cup).  This horn is in exceptional shape and plays beautifully. Lacquer and brass are excellent, with engraved bell and nickel jointing.  It has a first valve slide thumb hook.  In the interest of full disclosure, there are two minor and very small dents/scratches that are very difficult to see in the photographs.  Both are on the Bell: (1) at the outside curve directly above the first valve slide, and (2) on the outside by the second valve.  Neither affect the playing or sound of this horn, and both are essentially un-noticable.  This is a very rare, very difficult to find Flugelhorn.  Martin didn't make very many of these Flugelhorns in the 1950's and 1960's.  Don't miss this opportunity to own this great, and extremely rare Martin Committee Flugelhorn that should only increase in value over the years.
