You are viewing a Martin GPCPA Mahogany Acoustic Guitar from Oklahoma Vintage Guitar/Best Price Guitar. The new GPCPA Mahogany shares characteristics from the big rich sound of the Dreadnought and the clarity of the Orchestra model and combines them into a new sonic signature all of its own. This is my favorite of the Grand Performance Guitars. It plays better and sounds better and just has a better feel than any of the others. The neck is fabulous, because it is not just "Select Hardwoods" but it is actual FSC Certified Real Mahogany. The FSC certifed European Spruce soundboard with hybrid scalloped bracing, a genuine Mahogany headplate, with well dressed black smooth fingerboard and bridge, and a patented mortise and tenon neck joint. FSC is the Forest Stewardship Council which gives certification through SmartWood, a program of the Rainforest Alliance. The FSC® promotes, develops and monitors principles and criteria for voluntary, independent third party certification and accreditation that addresses and ensures environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world’s forests through a traceable chain of custody from forest to finished product. The Performing Artist Series features many firsts for the Martin company, including a more parallel neck profile with a slimmer taper at the 12th fret, giving the guitar comfortable width in the first few frets plus a faster feel for lead-work as you move up the neck. The new smaller bridge design reduces mass and increases the soundboard's tonal response. Striking new aesthetic features include a Gold Martin logo on the Certified Mahogany headplate. New Fingerboard inlays use small offset dots, adding to the guitar's sleek modern style. Finely polished gloss lacquer highlights the body's beauty, while a durable satin finish on the guitar's neck adds to the quicker feel and player's comfort. The new Fishman® F1 Aura® features the stunning realism of award-winning Aura Acoustic Imaging technology in a distinctive and easy to use onboard preamp system. State-of-the-art features include: digital chromatic tuner, volume and blend controls, independent 3-band EQ for both pickup and image signals, compressor, phase control and an automatic anti-feedback filter with up to 3 notches. The heart of the F1 Aura is its ability to replicate the sound of nine different world-class studio microphones. Fishman engineers have carefully captured images of the sound that these high-quality microphones "hear" and allow you to blend it in with the legendary Gold Plus under saddle pickup. The preamp design utilizes low-noise components, 32-bit internal processing and 24-bit audio conversion for an incredibly clean and quiet output. | A Word About CF Martin Company’s Commitment to Sustainable Wood for Ecological Purposes: |
| C. F. Martin formalized its long-standing ecological policy in 1990. | USA Shipping Information: |
| The buyer pays $49 for regular ground shipping for the guitar inside continental Lower 48 US only, which includes sturdy packing for the guitar and guitar hard shell case fully insured delivery to your door in the continental US. There is NO TAX on this item if you live outside of Oklahoma. The Martin High End guitars are very expensive fine hand made musical instruments and we do not take lightly the handling of these instruments. We do not get in a hurry when setting up, inspecting or packing these guitars. For this reason please allow at least 10 days to two weeks to receive this guitar. If you need it for your gig next Friday night, this is probably not your best choice. Tragically we have seen some awesome pieces destroyed when shippers get in a hurry. Plus, if the guitar has to be returned because of set up problems, it is exposed to twice the chance of destruction in shipping. So, again, please allow at least ten days to two weeks to receive this guitar because it is a lifetime investment for you and not something we handle quickly or lightly. |
