This fabulous early vintage Mexican Silver Zodiac Pendant ~ or Charm ~ by Margot de Taxco represents the sign of Aries. Beautifully designed in high relief, it has a charging Ram along with the symbol for Aries and Margot's signature stars, one of her favorite motifs. Measuring 1 5/8" across by 1 7/8" long, it is quite heavy at 22.6 grams.  Hallmarked "Margot de Taxco, Sterling Made in Mexico, 5221" with the eagle stamp 16, it is in good original vintage condition with no signs of damage or repair ~ it does have a few surface scratches that could be buffed out and  has a bit of tarnish, easy to polish out if you choose. The Zodiac series was created in 1950 and is featured in the book "Mexican Silver" by Morrill & Berk on page 178, plate XVI-27. A classic, highly collectible treasure from one of the most important Silver Masters.
