Map measures 21" by 17", it is in black and white with some coloring around the title and legend. Comenius (Jan Amos Komensky) produced this map in 1627 so, presumably, this print followed shortly thereafter. Printer is Willem Blaeu of Amsterdam who lived from 1571 to 1638. Text on back is in Dutch, Blaeu's early editions had Dutch text, his later editions had Latin text.

Q:
Dear Sir,
Do you ship to Bohemia/Moravia WITHOUT frame in tube???
Shipping cost appreciated...
Jan A: yes, I think that would be sensible. The map is now in a very old cheap black frame with glass on both sides, it could easily break when shipping, so I think it is best to put it in a tube whether it goes to europe or the US |
