I work on bridges and the company I work for buys Hilti. Since the project I work on is huge some tools come up missing which leaves at least one guy without a tool until they get a replacement. This stop in work left me frustrated and I decided to bring my own tools. As I stated before, we use Hilti because they are tested and proven in our line of work. Not wanting to take my $300 Hilti to work, I decided to buy a "cheap" alternative that would at least keep up. My cousin recommended Makita. Man am i glad he did. This brushless 18v driver works great. Not only did it "just keep up", I couldn't really tell the difference between my Makita and Hilti, other than the Makita is a bit lighter. One 3.0 battery lasted me all day drilling screws into concrete. I was impressed.

this tool is very nice however I wish Makita could figure out which quick connect they are going to go with my other non Brushless impact I can put tool/socket in with out pulling collar back this one I have to pull collar back to put tool in and take out... kind of annoying when switching sockets and screwdriver bits all the time... however great power but not a substantial amount more than regular impact.. doesn't seem to be easier on battery either but all in all great tool and especially for the price !!! Very happy with purchase

This is a replacement for my first impact which lasted over 5 years. My impact tool was used almost daily and worked great even after falling off the ladder many times and a roof a couple of times. It once landed in a bucket of water, I let it dry out and it kept right on working. My new Makita is really powerful. It drives in any screw with speed, power and it is small enough to get in tight spaces. The impact driver is one of the most valuable and often used tools I have, so I need something dependable. I like this tool a lot

Great dealer, super value, powerful and lightweight tool. I have been using this daily for a major reno project for the past two and a half weeks and have yet to discharge the first of two batteries. The charger has been getting good use by my crew who have the older brush-motor tools, so i know that it works. Love these Blue Tools!

I should have bought this tool, or one like it, years ago. It is light, and powerful, driving screws quickly into wood and steel studs. It is somewhat noisy, so wear a hearing protector. It spins very quickly initially, until the screw "bites in". Then, it goes into impact mode. If I could make one change, it would be to add a torque limiter (typically found on drills), to prevent overdriving the screw.
