Madden 2000 for N64 is a terrible version of great game. When I play this game on PlayStation, it feels like a fiesta is happening and every night is Monday Night Football, if you catch my drift. (Mind you, I'm comparing my reactions to Madden 2000 on PlayStation, released in 1999.) I always wanted the N64 version, for the comparisons with the FIFA titles and Madden 64 should've left me with a good game. Alas, while my seller was excellent, the game itself is an insult. There's no polish to the game, the matches are boring, the graphics are simple, the play-by-play announcing is non-existent. I can't tell one stadium from the other in comparison to Dreamcast's NFL 2K, Acclaim's Quarterback Club, Midway's NFL Blitz, and a few other football games. Especially Quarterback Club and Blitz, which are very fun and well-done on N64, where there's very little difference between the PlayStation and N64 versions. If I didn't know better, Madden 2000 feels like a shareware version of the game crammed to fit onto one floppy disk! I'm just not having a good time with this game.Read full review
