Marantz 2245 Vintage Stereo Receiver, Strong!!!  

45 watts per channel, into 8 ohms. Will play as well as most of today's units rated at 100 watts.

A great unit for any room!!

This unit has that classic Marantz sound, deep powerful bass, strong midrange, and crisp high frequencies.

Faceplate good.  Some light marks. Scratches in various places.  Light marks on top edge.  Lower LH corner received bent, I straightened it, but stress marks show.  All other corners good. 

Dial glass good. All original knobs. Some have very slight scratches. original feet. 

Concentric bass, mid, and treble controls for separate tone control for each channel.

All panel lights work, meters work, dial pointer light works, stereo indicator works.

Panel lamps, meter lamps replaced. All function indicator lamps work. Faceplate, dial glass, tuning scale cleaned inside and out.

All inputs work--Phono, Tape 1 In/Out, Aux.

Electrolytic capacitors on the Power Supply / Speaker relay board replaced for increased stability.

DC electrolytic capacitors on the Phono amp board replaced.

Phono amp board upgraded as per Marantz Service Bulletin,.

Power Supply B+ voltage set to factory specifications.

Audio Power Amplfiers DC Offset and Forward Bias set to factory specifications.

Diffuser paper behind the tuning scale replaced to restore that classic Marantz blue glow!

Connections for two sets of speakers.

FM reception is excellent, AM reception is good.

Cabinet  fair,  light marks from stacking.   

Electronically everything works fine.  Controls and switches cleaned with De-Ox-It!!!
