**If you recognize this compass from a previous aution, you are correct. The high bidder has decided not to follow through with the transaction and so it has been re-listed with the same unconditional moneyback guarantee and No Reserve!**
...... The 14 ¼” by 14 ½” by 9 ¼” tall dovetailed Case around this WWII Compass has a Mahogany stain, but it is actually made from a figured Beechwood. Inside is a double gimbaled, solid brass Compass made by the Sperry Gyroscope Company of New York. The case is only for holding the compass, when not in use. What you would do is remove this compass and place in a stand, on deck. You could then, by using the two folding Sighting Vanes, take a bearing on a distant object, such as a ship. The Pelorus Brass Dial originally was painted with a Radium Paint which made it glow in the dark. This Radium Paint is long gone now and this compass no longer has any glowing power. There are no problems or any repairs to this WWII Period Sighting Pelorus and you’ll find it has been listed without any reserve!
......I guarantee 100% that the high bidder will be totally satisfied with the quality, age & condition of this WWII Pelorus Compass, or I will return all of their money.
.....Don’t forget to check out the other auctions, you never know what you might find listed No Reserve!

2012 UPS & USPS PRICE INCREASES
It has recently come to our attention that the shipping costs that the calculator has been providing for our bidders have been higher than normal. We have not changed our shipping department in any way. We strive to make sure that our customers pay close to exact costs as possible. When items are packed and exact costs are figured for the label, any excess costs paid will be refunded. At the beginning of 2012 the shipping cost for UPS Ground increased 4.9% and 4.6% for the Post Office. The eBay shipping calculator pulls its figures directly from UPS and USPS and, unfortunately, these price increases are out of our hands.
As always, we strive for 100% satisfaction and do our best to provide our customers with the best service possible. We encourage you to email or call us with any questions or concerns you may have regarding shipping.
Packages are usually shipped within 48 hours of payment receipt (excluding Saturday/Sunday)and often are shipped out within 24 hours! Every package is sent with Full Insurance.
If this item is listed as FREIGHT: please click on "Contact the Seller" and send us your Zipcode or Country code. We will send you back an accurate shipping/packing quote before the end of the auction. Most freight items are still shipped via UPS ground however some are too large and will be shipped via SEKO Freight.
US Buyers: Shipping costs for most items can be determined by the shipping calculator in this auction and are shipped via UPS ground. If you prefer USPS this is also an option, just contact us. Any item that sells for over $250 and is paid for with paypal must be sent with Signature required.
International buyers: please be aware that you may incur a brokerage and/or customs fee upon delivery. Winning bidder is responsible for shipping & customs charges. We reserve the right to choose carrier based on shipping method selected at time of payment. Any item that sells for over $250 will be sent Express Mail with FULL insurance. We will NOT lie on customs forms if you have paid with Paypal. If you have questions regarding this, please feel free to contact us.
