I have available a very rare lot of 9 postcards for the 1907 Chicago Cubs (the first year they ever won the World Series). This auction includes the following players ...... James Slagle, Mordecai Brown (inducted to the Hall of Fame in 1949), Orvie Overall, Harry Steinfeldt, Carl Lundgren, James Sheckard, Pat Moran, Ed. Ruehlbach, and Capt. Frank Chance. All of the postcards are postally used, and are postmarked 1907. They were all mailed to a Miss Helen Martin from a Catherine (all postmarked from Chicago in 1907). I debated on breaking up the postcards and selling them individually, but the fact that there are messages written on each of them to / from the same two people, I thought I should keep the set intact. It's a great set, and a great find. As you can see from the scans, there is wear on all of the postcards, including some strong creases. There are also a couple with cancellation marks from the post office that appear on the front of the postcards, some corner / edge wear, bent corners, light dirt / smudge marks, and overall edge wear. Overall, the postcards are still in fairly good condition. Please see the scans for exact condition. Please feel free to ask any questions. I will ship these by priority mail (free of charge), insured, with signature due upon delivery. I accept only Paypal. I also request payment within 5 days of auction close. Feel free to check my other auctions, as I do combine shipping. Thank you for viewing my auction.
