The only way to watch "LOST" is to begin with the first CD in season one (Watch the pilot-two episodes back to back that competes with any major motion picture and you'll be addicted) and then continue with each season. Repeat episodes as you need but this is not television for which you can "drop in" to catch an occasional episode. What "LOST" is really, is a six year maxi-series. We've accepted Mini-series; "Roots" did that for us in the 70's, but "LOST" is a series that was not only planned out, but managed to remain brilliant amidst a writer's strike. The writing in this series is outstanding, the acting is remarkable and I haven't the experience to even describe the brilliance of special effects, real effects (Just how many airplanes have they purchased? How many hyroglyphics have they etched?) Season FIVE, which I just finished watching and purchased at a great price here on eBay, is a season that answers a lot of questions, increases in intensity and pacing. Someone who begins with season one now is so lucky, because you'll become addicted. You will deny yourself sleep-maybe even call in sick. It really is that good. They will complete the story at the end of season six. They know this (they KNEW this) from day one. So now I must wait a year for season six and I will not forget. I'll fill this year with novels (Stepehen King just published another epic) I will re-read Barbara Kingsolver, Wally Lamb and Richard Russo. At some point I will re-watch season five because there are so many miniscule details that one misses and of course there are the inevitable water cooler conversations which, for the first time ever, are intense instead of casual. When Season six comes out, I'll buy the DVD and watch that the samde way as I did the other five seasons. During Season three I attempted to watch it on television but found the commercials to be irritating. The entire series will go down in history as one single work, the actors will be famous for many decades. MANY decades. Are some of them doomed to these characters for life as was Richard Nimoy? Possible. But these actors are so remarkable that this would be a terrible tragedy. We've only seen the start of the career of Evangeline Lilly-another Jodie Foster in regard to changing the role of women on film. Matt Fox will become the next George Clooney or Cary Grant. And other writers and producers will follow suit some effectively, some not, and instead of television series having "archs" in them, they will be one entire arch. The creators of "LOST" will have changed television forever. I am generally a tough reviewer; I demand a lot. This reads like a high school review simply because "Lost" is just that good.Read full review

The Fifth season of Lost did not disappoint viewers and now is available on DVD, Blu-Ray and a Special Limited Edition set. All your favorites from the hit television series starring: Henry Ian Cusick, Jeremy Davies, Matthew Fox, Michael Emerson and Naveen Andrews. Season 5 was the cornerstone that leads up to the series finale beginning February 2nd 2010 on ABC. Anyone who has seasons 1-4 will definitely want to get this one as well.
LOST was the most enjoyable series to watch on DVD even more than when it held my interest back in 2005. I'll watch again...it's a "keeper!"
