This is a very good condensate pump but will last only about five to seven years. The pit fail of this pump is with a mechanical float micro-switch that goes bad. The switch is easily found, but expect to spend around $20.00 for a replacement. Were are on our third VCMA pump (we had both the VCMA-15 and the VCMA-20 models) and for each failed pump we experienced a flood in our basement.I would suggest not waiting for a flood, but go ahead and replace it after five years of service. Note that there is a secondary float with a cutoff switch in the event the pump fails it should prevent a flood when connected to a HVAC unit. Our pump was professionally installed, but did not prevent flooding from occuring. Make sure to clean the tank for the pump seasonally.to prevent the overflow switch from failing to do its job.Read full review

Easy to install, it only needs to be leveled and to connect the hose and drain inputs. It works well.

Using on my furnace and AC for humidifier and condensation water removal. Work very quiet and efficiently. The question is how long it will last. The last Flowtec unit was good for 14 years. Hopefully the Little Giant matches that service life.

From past experience with this brand they go forever and only need to be cleaned twice a year or just add a small cap full of pool sanitizer like algae guard and it will run forever with no issues.
