Line 6 JTV-59 Variax Cherry Sunburst with Upgrades!
Here's a close to mint condition Line 6 Variax JTV-59 with Kluson / Tonepros locking tuners, Earvana nut & Dunlop Straplocks.
Guitar has barely been played and has absolutely zero issues. Beautiful book-matched flamed maple top. Recently upgraded to version 1.82 on Line 6 website. Everything works as new and sounds great. The Kluson / Tonepros locking tuners ($89.00) definitely keep tuning stability rock solid and the Earvana compensated nut ($85.00 installed) makes the instrument in-tune over the entire fretboard. If you've read a bit about these models you may have seen the discussions about problems with the guitar playing in tune in the open positions on the neck and I will attest that this guitar did the same when I purchased it new last year. I couldn't get the neck to play in tune everywhere and it was pretty ugly. Either I would have to tune it for open chord positions or for playing through the rest of the range of the fretboard. The Earvana has completely solved this issue with the guitar playing/sounding in tune over the entire neck.
Includes Line 6 Workbench USB adapter and cable, Li-Ion battery, and switching power supply, quality Line 6 Gigbag AND a 20' Line 6 Digital Variax Cable ($38.00) for connection to the POD HD series of modelers (HD300,HD400 & HD500)!

Variax Workbench Software
Variax Workbench software is a virtual custom shop. This free software, whichcan be downloaded from the Line-6 web site, lets you create custom models onyour computer and upload them to your JTV-59 via its built-in USB port. Choosefrom famous guitar bodies, pickups, pickup placement, tone and volume controls, and tweak away until you've designed the guitar of your dreams – withoutchoking on sawdust!
This combination USB interface and software package for James Tyler Variaxguitars allows you to see and hear the physical changes to your custom guitarin real-time. Ever wonder what a single-coil pickup would sound like on ahollow-body guitar tuned an octave down? Probably not. That's because it wasn'ta reality – until now.
The Alt Tune Knob
Each James Tyler Variax modeling guitar has a dedicated Alt Tune knob. This knobhas 12 settings, including two labeled "Model" and"Standard." Set to "Model," the Alt Tune knob lets youaccess the alternate tunings you created using Variax Workbench virtual guitarworkbench software. These tunings are stored on your Variax's Model knob. Setto "Standard," the Alt Tune knob overrides saved tunings to set everymodel to standard "E-to-E" tuning. The Alt Tune knob's remaining 10settings are the most commonly used tunings found in the popular genres of theday.
The Virtual capo feature lets you easily transpose any song to the key thatsuits your vocalist. And you can adjust your tuning on the fly without havingto do on "Workbench" software.
Battery powered DSP
A proprietary lithium-ion battery delivers at least 12 hours of continuousperformance. A 4-LED battery life meter lets you know how much rocking time youhave left. Rolling down the volume knob when not playing will automatically putthe DSP to sleep and helps maximize battery life. So even with your cable stillplugged in, you will not be using battery power. DSP wakes up instantly whenyou turn the volume back up. The JTV-59 functions as a standard electric guitarwhether the battery installed or not.
