Best laptop for the money I've found
Apart from the slightly higher weight and mildly aggravating keyboard configuration (the function key is swapped with the left ctrl key for some reason, which really messes up my muscle memory with a lot of shortcuts) this is the best laptop I've found for the price. The T420 has a lot of really good features like the keyboard nub, which is great for me since I type a lot. It also features all the keys of a full keyboard with slightly raised keys, which are a lot nicer to type on compared to having used laptops with totally flat keys. It also has physical volume and mute buttons, and media key functionality. One of the stranger features provided is the option for a keyboard light that's mounted near the webcam that you can turn on with fn+page up, which is neat if you need to see your keyboard for some reason. It's actually faster than some comparable modern laptops I've used that cost more than the T420.
Overall I'd say it's an easy 8/10. My only complaints are that the keyboard can be a bit unresponsive at times for my typing preference, but that's more me personally than the computer I think. The cd/dvd drive also has a bit of a weak spring on my laptop, so when I eject a disc it's kind of hard to get to. Other than those two things this is an excellent laptop.
