Leitz Wetzlar (Leica) Elmarit - R 180mm f2.8 lens

Please read the item description and terms and conditions below very carefully before you bid!

 This is a Leitz Wetzlar Elmarit - R 180mm f2.8 lens (s/n 2355463).  Cosmetically the lens is very good with minor signs of use.  Focus and aperture are smooth.  There is no oil on the aperture blades.  There is some minor dust inside that I don't think would affect image quality.  It has front and rear caps.

Please read on.  It’s a lot of information, but if you ask me a question that is answered here, I’ll know you didn’t read it. J

Questions:  If you have a question about anything send them via the link near the bottom of the listing page, where it says “Ask a question”.  These come into my Messages Inbox, others do not.

Condition:  I give the best and most complete condition description that I can.  I don’t always know as much about the item as I should, and sometimes flaws are hidden and impossible to see, but I can’t research or test everything, especially when starting auctions at very low prices.  If it isn’t clear, ask questions.  Sometimes a question asked will create a correction, add information and/or a photograph to the listing.  If you are bidding on, or watching the item, check often for new information.

Returns:  If you feel that the item you get is not as described in the listing, contact me immediately and we will resolve the issue.  PLEASE NOTE:  Items sold “AS IS”, “Not Working” or “For Parts”, are not returnable.

Payment:  If you are bidding on more than one item please let me know and do not pay any invoice until you get a final invoice from me through eBay.  If you are bidding on only one item wait for the invoice to be sure the shipping cost is correct.  I usually send the invoice within 24 hours of the auction end.  I expect payment within 4 days (eBay standard) after you receive the invoice.  If you can’t pay that fast, let me know so we can work out an arrangement.  I normally ship within 1 business days after receiving payment.  Personal checks or other forms of payment are acceptable, but the item will not ship until they have cleared.  Let me know if that is how you are paying.  My bank charges $15 to process a foreign bank check, so I will have to pass that charge to the buyer.

Combined Shipments:  I will combine items purchased within one week into one shipment to save shipping costs.  You need to let me know when you are bidding on several items.  At the end of one week from your first purchase you will request an invoice, and the invoice will be sent for all items won plus the shipping costs for all items.

Shipping Costs:  I will add 15% to the shipping cost due to the fees eBay and PayPal collect on shipping costs.  There is no other handling fee.  I use the least expensive method of shipping I can.  First Class Package and First Class International is usually best for small and light items, Priority Mail and First Class International is good for larger and heavier items, and Flat Rate Priority Mail is good for heavier items that will fit in the flat rate boxes.  I don’t ship First Class standard mail; it’s less expensive, but there is no way to track it.  I may add insurance to the invoice, depending on the item and where it is going.  Shipping items overseas that sell for more than $400 and/or weigh more than 4 pounds must be shipped via Priority Mail International.  Express Mail gives more tracking information, but is more expensive and used only if requested.  You should be able to calculate the shipping cost on the listing page, but if you can’t, you need to give me your address, including zip or postal code so I can accurately calculate it.  The shipping cost eBay shows is usually wrong, especially when more than one item is purchased. 

International Shipments:  I will ship to any valid address, in any foreign country allowed by eBay and the US Government.  Some foreign addresses contain too many characters to be valid for the shipping label.  Please make sure your address has no more than 40 characters per line.  Expect up to six weeks for delivery.  Some items I am not allowed to ship overseas.  It is a violation of eBay Policy to change the value of the items on the export documentation.

Feedback:  I leave positive feedback when I get payment.  I have a very high feedback rating (some people can’t be pleased no matter what you do).  I appreciate hearing from you after you receive your item so I know you are satisfied.  If there is a problem, give me the opportunity to fix it before leaving negative feedback.

Sales Tax:  Residents of New York State will be charged 8% sales tax.
