Leica MP Body (1956/57) w/Case, 50mm & Leicavit MP
Yes you read right!  This really is an Original Leica Chrome MP set up for Auction!

Leica MP-241 with Leicavit MP Winder, Original 1956/57 50mm Summicron Lens and Fitted Accessory Case with provision for extra height and Cutout for wind lever!!!

Kind of takes your breath away, but this is the real deal; possibly a once in a lifetime chance to add the rarest of the rare to your collection. (Hove Collectors rates this Chrome MP w/Winder MP a “9”…)

Wow, what do you say about a legend?  Books have been written about this scarce beauty, of which only 311 examples are known to have been produced. Rather than try to condense volumes and submit all facts on this well-known and scarcest of the scarce in this listing I will stick to the high points.

·         It came from an estate, and this as well as their other cameras have been in proper storage for a very long time (Approx 20 plus years)

·         The camera seems to be in perfect/very nice working order, but the factory seal has been broached.

o   Our suspicion is that it was serviced by a good Leica repairman, Perhaps even Leica in  Rockleigh, but their records do not go back that far and they were unable to confirm.

o   We will not warranty this camera as we do not want to risk having it serviced

·         It has the original Triangular Lugs (with almost no wear)

·         It has the original Two-Stroke Wind Head (has not been upgraded)

·         Frame Lines 50, 90, 135 without Depth of Field Notch

·         M2 Style Frame Counter

·         Includes Case (very nice shape) with provisions for Leicavit MP

·         Has original MP Winder

·         Has minimal Exterior Wear

o   No dents or dings

o   A few minor bright marks here and there

o   All Vulcanite is intact and in good shape

·         Interior of Camera has almost no signs of wear

o   See images….

·         Has original correct vintage 50mm Summicron

o   Very clean

o   Good working condition

All other questions we will let this camera answer for itself through pictures.  We are selling it at Auction, so please do not email us with Buy-it-now offers.  We know what this camera is worth and we want to see it go to the highest bidder.  One thing is certain; the person with the highest offer will own this camera.  When you will have another chance.. If the Hove Collectors Guide is accurate you might have to wait as long as ten years till the next one is offered.

It is being offered at a very low starting bid with no reserve.  We welcome overseas bidders from select markets to bid on the near mint gem.

Lots of luck with your bidding.
