I bought LG VS660 off Ebay because I was not due for an upgrade through Verizon but I needed a smart phone that would except The Square for credit card payments and the LG VS660 was the right phone for the right price. The thing I like most about it, are all the features. Going from a Dumb phone to Smart phone was a big step but one I made with very few problems. The one thing I don't like is the battery life seemed to be somewhat short, but I found out that I could turn off my email and a few other things and it did give me longer battery life. Now my wife wants new phone looks like she may get a LG VS660 as well. Thanks, WB
This was the first Droid phone I have ever used and it was great I am doing things on it I have never done befor on a regular basic phone. I bought this phone because of it being an lg and the droid aspect of it. Lg's work great in my low service areas. The one and only draw back that i see with this phone is the screen size could be a little bigger other then that a great phone. This was also the first touch key pad I have ever used. I have always had a physical qwerty key board.
This is the dumbest smart phone ever. I got it because I liked the size. I'm small. I have small hands and small pockets and it fit my hands well. I am on my second phone as my first one died and was replaced by Verizon. It has very little internal memory which is not expandable. When I loaded an email account onto the phone, there was no way to delete emails. I went online to find a way, but it didn't work. They overwhelmed the memory and crashed the phone. Dead. All if would do is play the verizon song, over and over. When I got the replacement, refurbished, I was much more cautious. I have hardly any apps, don't have my main e-mail. It doesn't matter how many features a phone has if you can't use them. It freezes up, and the screen goes blank when I need to enter codes, like when I'm checking voice mail. It butt dials constantly when it's in my pocket. When they replaced my phone, they extended my contract. I have eighteen months left with this phone. Painful.Read full review
Works well enough for my needs. Its basic of course, and don't expect to be able to go too far installing apps as it appears to have limited on-board memory. It may also be a tad under powered as sometimes when a call is coming in the touch recognition to accept the call is a bit sluggish. But if your looking for something basic and cheap it'll do whats necessary
The LG Vortex has great features at a reasonable price. Display looks great, Android system is really efficient with so many options. Vortex is so easy to use; perfect phone for someone transitioning from a plain vanila flip phone to an internet capable phone.
