Compact. Fits easily in your pocket. When folded closed for carrying or storage the keypad is protected. Using a phone like this for more than 15 years my butt has yet to make or answer a phone call. Even my I-Phone (work-required or I wouldn't have one) has butt-dialed more than once. The VX5400 cell phone is the perfect item for someone that still uses a phone to talk to actually talk to people. Opened device curves with your face placing the mike and speaker right where they do the most good: over your ear and in front of your mouth. Pressing the flat plate of newer phones to my cheek in order to hear has caused the phone to hang up and/or switch to face-time in the middle of a call. I can only imagine the view. My computer sits on my desk. I don't need one in my pocket. More states are passing laws against texting while driving making this phone even more perfect as without a 7" screen it's almost impossible to do. Why oh why does everyone try to change perfection? I bought this phone for my father and he is one of those persons who just uses his phone to talk with people. So needless to say this phone delivers on that aspect the speaker is clear and it has big numbers on the dial pad which makes it easy for those who have limited vision to see what they are dialing. The battery life on this thing is remarkable!from the day it arrived after a full charge it lasted 3 weeks on average use. It sits easy in the hand and the feel is very comfortable and lightweight.

Very good- but not excellent - reception. I love this phone for its photo editing features. Not the highest resolution photos but very good quality once they've been cropped, which you can do right on the phone. The lens is quite good, too, allowing for fairly crisp close-ups. Texting keyboard response is quick but not blazing fast. The front clock is big, which I also like.
This phone looks like a decent phone, and it works pretty good. I have never owned one, but my uncle did, and kept it in excellent shape and passed it over to my cousin who still uses it but will probably upgrade it soon. PROS: Excellent durability. It has been tossed around a lot but still looks good due to the factory screen protectors on it and a case. Battery- after 3 years of owning this phone, the battery still works excellently. Reception- as with Verizon I think you know you are going to have excellent reception! Sound quality- One reason I chose an LG again for my new phone (Chocolate touch) is because when I had an Intensity by Samsung, it always sounded like the tone that came in was pixilated, like it was recorded. No, because when my cousins phone got the same forward it sounded excellent, and showed as MP3. 5400 and Chocolate touch always display as MP3. Camera- pretty good for a VGA. It doesn't really lack any issues, looked more 1.3 MP, until I read the specs. Amazing that it was VGA. I truly thought it was 1.3 MP. CONS: Charging of the phone- this was nearly avoided, but I figured it should be mentioned. For the superb battery life that this phone has, it takes like 3 hours to charge the phone. It is the same with my Chocolate too. This may be a con to some that need their phone quickly charged.Read full review
