Just getting started bullet casting after 35 yrs. of Gunsmithing and 25 yrs of Reloading due to the powder coating. I like the Lee molds but i had to tweak the spure plate a little because of grind marks other than that they work great, i do like the six cavity production molds better.

Been casting since late 1958 as a lad. Used iron moulds. And yes, I have a few Lee moulds that I use with some degree of confidence. This one is not among them. It simply won't fill out properly. Doubtful that I'll ever use it again. Believe I'll stick with iron moulds as I have for over 6 decades.

Lee molds work well for their cost, but need to be handled carefully to prevent damage to soft alloy mold body.

I didn`t say it was better than expected- it is EXACTLY AS I EXPECTED- VERY GOOD.

I have a number of Lee molds, all work as well as the high priced competitors molds do. I have found that true to their word the bullets rarely ever need to be put through a sizing die. A quick check with a good caliper is proof enough. Save money and shoot more!
