|Engine Cylinders:||2||Model Year:||1983 or 1984|
This Kubota tractor is a B7100HST-D, a 1983 or 84 model. It has a 3 cylinder 16 hp Kubota diesel engine which runs great. The engine has a little white smoke when it cold but clears up after warming up for a few minutes. The tractor is running in all the pictures. The tractor has an original Kubota front end loader with chain hooks welded on the bucket. The loader runs off of a separated hydraulic pump on the front of the tractor.
The transmission is hydrostatic – push the forward pedal to go forward and the reverse pedal to go back – no shifting gears. The spring that returns the pedal to neutral when you take your foot off it is weak, and does not always return to the center (neutral) ,and slowly creeps forward. You just need to tap the reverse pedal to return it to neutral. The transmission has a high and low range. The 4x4 works, PTO works, 3 point hitch operates as it should.
Included is a real ‘GANNON’ brand box scraper with rippers, which is very heavy-duty compared to most box scrapers you see associated with a tractor of this size. The rear blade on the scraper can be floating or pinned to be fixed. The 3 point hitch also is equipped with auxiliary hydraulics which control hydraulic top and tilt cylinders for easily adjusting attachments.
This tractor runs and operates well but has some issues that need some attention to make it great:
The hydraulic cylinders on the loader need seals replaced. Two of them leak and the lift cylinders bleed down pretty quick. One of the levers on the loader valve has a weak spring and doesn’t return to center when you release it, and the loader keeps rising. You need to push the lever to stop the loader from going up.
The key switch was broken and someone made it so you can turn it without a key. Sometime it works the first time, and sometimes you have to fiddle with it a couple times before it works. Around $40 from Kubota.
The right front tire has worn tread. One rear tire has a gash in the rubber but it has a tube.
The 3 point control valve is leaking hydraulic fluid. I was told it needs an O-ring replaced.
The hour meter says around 1500 hours, but stopped working long ago. The numbers are faded.
The headlights and horn are not hooked up… don’t know if they work.
Overall this is a great little tractor that will save you some big $$ compared to buying a new one for $20,000. It has normal wear and tear expected with a nearly 30 year old tractor. See pics. It was repainted at some point in time. This Kubota would be great for maintaining a couple of acres and doing the chores. You don’t see many setup like this – original Kubota loader, Hydrostat trans, ‘Gannon’ box scraper with hydraulics. A little TLC will get you a nice small 4x4 diesel tractor.
If you have questions, ask them prior to bidding. I will answer everything I can. Again, this tractor runs well, but is nearly 30 years old and not a new tractor and needs a few things. It has hydraulic leaks that need new seals. The tractor is sold as is.
I require a 20% non-refundable deposit within 48 hours of the auction end by PayPal, or wire transfer. The balance will be due in 7 days of auction end. The tractor must be picked up within 30 days, unless other arrangements are made. I can ship within 500 miles for $1.50 per loaded mile. I will not be scammed and all money will be paid before the tractor leaves.

Just had a question about the serial number... It is #10460 which would make this tractor a 1980 model according to Tractordata.com.
