Up for sale is a beautiful matched pair of completely original vintage Klipsch Heresy speakers in lacquered walnut veneer (wood grain is mirrored perfectly!) made in Hope, Arkansas, USA. Serial numbers are consecutive 141X409 and 141X410. They are a three way 8 ohm speaker system with a 1 inch horn tweeter, a horn midrange, and a 12 inch woofer, and are about 98 db efficient at 1 watt/ 1 meter. Dimensions are 21.5 inches tall by 15.5 inches wide by 13.75 inches deep. The grills are in excellent condition with no stains... they couple perfectly to the baffles. Both "Klipsch" grill badges are in mint condition. As with most vintage speakers of this age, there are a few very small scratches in the wood here and there, however, there is a ding on the front/side edge of one of the speakers that is a bit more than a small ding. It's not really very noticeable (it doesn't show in the photos) and from 5 feet away, the speakers look brand new. Unfortunately, the rear paper is missing from one of the speakers (see photos). I need to also mention that a previous owner engraved a line of numbers into the rear panel of each speaker. I filled them in with wood filler and repainted the panels satin black, but the numbers still show a bit. One other thing... at some point these speakers must have had Klipsch risers screwed into the bottoms because there were four screw holes in the bottom of each speaker, so I went ahead and filled each hole with wood putty, hand sanded them smooth with 220 grit sandpaper, and spray lacquered the bottoms (see photos for results). If you come to pick them up, I will glady let you audition them driven by some very nice vintage tube gear BEFORE you take them away (they are at their best when mated to tube equipment). I will ship the speakers anywhere in the continental US for $80.00 total. If you are overseas, you must ask me for a shipping quote before bidding (PLEASE NOTE!! Ebay shipping estimate is for one box only!)... it will be rather expensive since the speakers are large and weigh about 45 pounds each and MUST be sent in separate boxes. Check my feedback for how well I pack my vintage speakers/equipment... you will not be disappointed in this incredible pair of vintage American audiophile speakers! Good luck!!Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
