Or so the thinking goes for the Razor & Tie folks who've put together KIDZ BOP 3, another collection of recent hits delivered by a gang of children doubling as session vocalists. No pop stone is left unturned, as there are songs by older artists like Sheryl Crow ("Soak Up the Sun") and Mary J. Blige ("Family Affair"), alt-rock groups P.O.D. ("Alive") and the Calling ("Wherever You Will Go"), and boy-band pin-up Justin Timberlake ("Girlfriend"). Music fans whose tastes run more along the R&B tip get shiny, kid-friendly versions of songs by Ashanti ("Happy"), Pink ("Don't Let Me Get Me"), Nelly ("Dilemma"), and Usher ("U Don't Have To Call"). Skate-punks also get a tip of the hat via covers of Avril Lavigne ("Complicated") and No Doubt ("Hey Baby"). There's even a representation of young divas-in-training Michelle Branch ("All You Wanted") and Vanessa Carlton ("A Thousand Mile") along with American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson ("A Moment Like This").
