Purchased this camera because of the square format. Luckily I seem to have got a decent one as they can evidently be a bit hit and miss quality and reliability wise. Comes with a good standard lens and takes a wide range of lenses in the pentacon six mount. Very solid and chunky a bit like a 35mm slr on steroids and weights a fair bit. I have purchased since a felt flocking kit for the inside of the camera and this has improved performance considerably as light can bounce around on some reflective surfaces inside the camera before being recorded on film. All in I am happy with this camera. Go get one and have medium format quality for a budget price.
These things are hit or miss definitely a great camera non the less

I like this camera because it is cheap, reliable and fits my purposes. It has bayonet that is compatible with other top medium format cameras (Pentacon Six and Exakta 66)and accepts expensive set of lenses that I already own (Schneider and Carl Zeiss Jena). I favor this camera in comparison with other medium format cameras because of its square format. I had one already and a new body will be kept as backup.
