K&N Typhoon High-Flow Performance Kits for Domestic and Import Performance Cars.
Built for performance and show, the Typhoon® Air Intake System is a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum tube induction system designed to fit many domestic and import performance vehicles.  Each kit is proven on a rear-wheel dynamometer to increase horsepower and torque. Typhoon intakes come in one of three designs; cold air intakes (CA), short ram intakes (SR), or complete cold air (CCA) intakes which can be configured as either a cold air intake or a short ram intake.  Available in an assortment of powder coated colors and polished aluminum, these kits are sure to please in every way.  They come with an oversized High-Flow conical air filter designed to provide increased surface area and dust capacity. This extra surface area provides even more airflow at lower restriction than a standard K&N O/E replacement filter that is limited to the size of the factory air box. The oversize air filter also captures more dirt increasing the service life before a cleaning is required (up to 100,000 miles).  Some Typhoon Air Intakes are not legal for use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal.

HIGH-FLOW TECHNOLOGY
How does K&N increases horsepower so consistently? It all starts with The World’s Best Air Filter. Even a K&N replacement air filter is limited by the size of the original air box but once K&N removes the air box they have plenty of room to work with. Now K&N can apply their High-Flow Technology to a large conical open element air filter, providing more surface area for huge increases in airflow that turn into horsepower you can feel. The oversize air filter also captures and holds more dirt.  This increases the service life before a cleaning is required (up to 100,000 miles for air intakes depending on driving conditions).

AIR INTAKE TUBES
Improving the air path between the air filter and the motor is the next big area of improvement. K&N offers two options for many air intake applications. Part numbers starting with 57 or 63 (except Gen 1 and 57i Series) incorporate molded High Density Polyethylene tubes that are black in color. Part numbers starting in 69 or 77 have aluminum tubes and are polished, powder coated or anodized. K&N's molded Polyethylene systems offers the most flexibility in air intake design and the best possible horsepower numbers. The aluminum intake systems offer power with a more stylish look.

50 STATE STREET LEGAL
Many K&N Intake Systems are street legal in all 50 states and include a California Air Resource Board (CARB) Executive Order (EO) number that ensures the kit has been tested to comply with emissions standards. EO numbers apply to the kit as well as the year, make and model it is being installed on. Systems with no EO number are street legal in most states but may not be used on emissions controlled vehicles in the state of California or other states adopting California emission standards.

PROCESSING TIME:
For Continental USA (lower 48 states and street address served by Fedex or UPS), most orders ship by the next business day after payment clearance. Some orders may take up to 3 business days after payment clearance to ship if they are shipped from a remote warehouse. Saturday, Sunday, and major national holidays are not considered business days. Orders to all other locations (including Post Office Box shipments) may take up to 7 business days to ship after payment clearance.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES:
We will accept returns and exchanges on this product minus a 20% restock fee (minimum $10) on the product price, shipping charges are not refundable. Listings with Free Shipping or Discounted Shipping will have actual shipping charges deducted before restock fee is applied. Please make sure you know what you are buying and that it works for your application. If you need to return an item, please contact us within 14 days after receiving the product and we will issue a RMA number and detailed return instructions. We do not accept returns or exchange requests after 14 days. You will need a RMA number or your return will be refused at our dock and shipped back to you at your expense. Only merchandise new in box and in completely resale-able condition will be accepted for returns.
