A MATTER OF OPINION PLASTER, PAINTED, HEIGHT 21 INCHES PATENTED DECEMBER 9TH, 1884 "A LADY WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE AN INVALID IS SEATED IN A CHAIR. STANDING AT HER SIDE, ON HER LEFT, IS A DOCTOR WHO IS HOLDING HER HAND AND FEELING HER PULSE. HE IS APPARENTLY URGING HIS OPINION OF THE LADIES' TROUBLES, AND IS TRYING TO WIN THE DOCTOR WHO STANDS OPPOSITE, ON THE LADIES' RIGHT HAND, AND WHO HAS PROBABLY BEEN BROUGHT IN FOR A CONSULTATION TO HIS VIEW OF THE CASE, BUT WITHOUT SUCCESS, AS HE INDIGNANTLY BUTTONING UP HIS COAT AND PREPARING TO LEAVE. HE HAS AN UMBRELLA UNDER HIS ARM. A SMALL TABLE STANDS IN FRONT OF HIM." THE UMBRELLA THAT IS UNDER HIS ARM IT IS ALSO, IN HIS EXASPERATION, POKING INTO THE RIBS OF THE PATIENT, WHO INCIDENTALLY, IS NOT TOO ILL TO ENJOY THE LITTLE DRAMA TAKING PLACE.
