John Fluevog vintage 90's F Shoes stacked heel Loafer dress leather size 11

Vintage 90's John Fluevog F Shoes in a black, plastic coated leather with a stacked rubber heel.

I bought these at the old Fluevog store in Manhattan when it was in Soho in 1999. I was enamored with the fact that they're not the average loafer, being super narrow with a slimming square toe and higher than average heel. These are from the F Shoe line that featured special rubber soles. I don't have the box for these and unfortunately don't remember the style name. The leather is similar to the leather used on Navy dress shoes; it's not exactly patent but it's a coated leather that's super slick. These have a seam down the front and the toe, while square, narrows quite a bit from the foot. There is a concealed elastic band on the inside to allow your foot to slip in and to hold them on. The sole is the classic F shoe sole, which is something like a lug sole. The heel is stacked rubber and not shy coming in at just under 2". Since the sole is 1/2" thick, these will make you 1.5" taller, gentlemen. These are well-worn, but still have life left. I'd rank them a 6 out of 10.

condition: Fair to good. The leather was routinely polished and cared for. The toes are in ok shape with a ding and a scratch to the right toe. The foot leather is creased from wear in a similar way to patent leather as this leather is not porous. The interior elastic is stretchy and in good shape. The leather on the right shoe on the outside is pulling away from the sole (see pic.) This could be reglued easily. The rubber soles are quite worn and the heel is especially worn at the back side. That said, the F Shoes soles are so thick, these still have treads.
