I shopped for quite awhile and checked multiple reviews for soundbars with subs. Looked at those priced in the $350 - $1,000 range. I was immediately impressed with this setup - especially the 8" sub. At the time, it was $400. I thought it was a good value at that price. At the $249 with free shipping I paid for a refurbished setup (which looks in perfect shape and works perfectly), it was a no-brainer. Setup was easy and don't regret the decision a bit.

I purchased this sound bar mainly because it has a JBL logo. It was pricey, but usually a JBL product is worth it. Not in this case. This sound bar is garbage. When connected via hdmi (the recommended method) the video to sound delay is unbearable. There is also no way to adjust for it. When connected through the optical cable, the speaker does not always turn on or off with the tv. When using it for over an hour, it begins emitting loud popping noises. Sometimes the sound will disappear all together and you have to turn the unit off and back on to get the sound back. Sometimes more than once. This is not what I expected from JBL.

The only great thing about this is that subwoofer, anything else not so good

No sound straight out of the box looked to be in great shape. Contacted sellers 1-800 went through all the steps to see if it was hooked up properly. But it should have played from my phone on blue tooth it would pair but it wouldn't make a sound. So they said send it back.
