I reject the use of the word "awesome" in this post. The photography is excellent in this movie, the lighting, even above average set design. It is very enjoyable to listen to as well!

With a story originally written by Ray Bradbury, you can't go wrong. This is a classic 1950's alien monsters from another world come to earth type movie. One of the first, in fact. And it was originally filmed and shown in 3D! I'd love to see this one in 3D. I have seen a couple of 3D films over the years, but I'd really like to see this one in its' original form TV just doesn't cut it. Don't get me wrong, I like this film a lot. And hey, it's got Russell Johnson, aka Professor Roy Hinkley from Gilligan's Island in one of his earliest film roles, too. Jack Arnold is the director, and he went on to direct some more great Sci-Fi and Horror films. The musical instrument The Theremin is used heavily in this and many other 1940's and 1950's films. Look it up online, The Theremin has quite a history in Hollywood. The Beach Boys used it on the song 'Good Vibrations'. I love seeing future tv stars in old Hollywood movies. I am a pop culture fan, and I love the monster movies, alien abduction movies, horror movies, B, C, D & F grade cheesy films, too. This is NOT a B film at all. It's produced by Universal Studios, the same studio that brought us The Creature From The Black Lagoon (also in 3D), This Island Earth, Frankenstein, Dracula, and The Wolfman, too. I have a huge collection of old horror and sci fi films, and I am happy to have this one on DVD, too.Read full review
Actors Richard Carlson, and Barbara Rush, Charles McGraw, and Joe Sawyer in this fabulous thriller, portray people in a desert community that are facing a quiet emergency. Carlson portrays a good guy who shares an open-minded mindset. His fiancee, Barbara Rush, witness an Interstellar spacecraft crash into a mountain outside of town. Carlson rushes to investigate with Rush. The aliens must survive to repair their craft. But, there's a problem. McGraw plays the County cop perfectly : a closed - minded hot-head who has serious doubts about Carlson's fantastic theory of alien invasion. Waring from the Aliens : A wrong move could spell disaster for the little town. A TOP THRILLER, and a Classic.Read full review
