This marvelous work of Inlay work is having hundreds of Semi-precious stones. In this pure manual work, marble surface is chipped with chipping tools and same size of Semi-Precious stone are placed it with super-glue. This work was originated from Italy in 13-14th Century and is used in making world famous Agra’s Taj Mahal main dome extensively.The Semi-Precious Stones/gems are used in this work areCORNELIAN, JASPER, TURQUOISE(firoza), LAPIS LAZULI(lajverd), MALACHITE, etc This art work is called 'Pietra Dura' and have been used in Tajmahal's walls. This art was invented in Italy and is being done only in Agra, India. Types of the Stones and History of this art has been given down below for your reference.

Warranty and returns: We agree to offer 3 months warranty for inlay stone work and marble base. We will replace the product with another one only if it is proved that marble base or inlay stones are broken unintentionally in normal domestic use. Please note that this handicraft item is only for domestic use and not for commercial activity. This product will be shipped with insurance and any wear and tear during shipping will be borne by Insurance company.

The marble inlay work is the same as it used to be when Taj Mahal was being built. In this art various floral and geometric patterns are created with the help of precious and semi precious stones. The stones are inlaid in Indian marble, black marble and Indian Jade. The masterpieces of this art can be seen in the walls of Taj Mahal itself. This art of marble inlay (‘Pietre Dura’ as it was originally known in Italy) has been passed from generations, right from the craftsmen who made the Taj Mahal and other monuments nearby. Today, their great-grandchildren are engaged in this activity, known to a select few, and in great demand all over the world. The Taj Mahal has been created in this style of workmanship which is unique and exclusive all over the world! This quality is ideal for collectors and art lovers who appreciate unique craft! Semi precious and precious Stones Used: In all 28 kind of rare, semi precious and precious stones were used for inlay work in the Taj Mahal as well as in our product. Lapis lazuli, Onyx, Jasper, Cornelian have been combined with marble of various hues to create designs of unsurpassed elegance. Prominent stones used for inlay work and their characteristics are given below. Apart from these stones Jade, Ruby, Garnet, Cat’s eye, Onyx and Coral are also being used in most of the products.
