3D phones do not have great popularity, so your choices are limited. All of them with 3D cameras suffer from lenses that are too close together for good 3D. The Thrill has lower resolution than the competitors, but the viewing is adequate. LG added a superb 3D viewer that allows you to look at 3D YouTube videos on the phone. Unfortunately it only works when connected to WiFi. When using 4G the 3D YouTube videos do not display properly. This may be due to changes on YouTube. The other major competitor apparently did not have a facility for viewing YouTube videos. The battery life is below par, but adequate. The sound, when used as a conventional phone, is excellent. I have difficulty with lots of cell phones, but this one works quite well for talking. The refurbished phone came in factory LG packaging, but did not include the 2GB micro card, unlike the original. Since micro cards have come down in price, this is not a major consideration. The refurbished phone also had been upgraded to a much more recent Android version.Read full review

This phone is very slow, a lot of times the text don't send. The battery life isn't good. The phone is bigger than expected.

The phone has dual 1.0 Ghz processors. Most of the top-of-the-line phones now have dual 1.2 Ghz processors, so the power of the phone was about 2 years ahead of it's time, it even already had 4G. I noticed though it came with Android 2.2.2 and can only be upgraded to 2.3 Gingerbread but other similar 3D phones can be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The battery life is comparable to that of pretty much any dual-core phone, typically from 24-48 hours with everything off and apps closed using just 1 hour of talk every 24 hours. I bought it for the 3D camera though, so I can shoot videos of family wherever I go. I figure in the future nobody will want to look at 2D family photos or videos anymore. This phone let's me take that ability with me anywhere without lugging around an even more costly 3D camera. If the camera were say 15 megapixels and could do 1080p 3D then this would be the last device you'd ever have to buy, unfortunately it only takes photos at 5 megapixels and films 3D video at 720p, close enough for now, the 3D games are nice too.Read full review
Its been over 2 years since this phone has been released to the market. As of March 2013, AT&T released an Ice Cream Sandwich update, Android 4.0.4., which is a really nice addition to the phone. Now with a quick toggle you can turn off both Data and WiFi, and your battery will last more then 24 hours. Keep your eye on XDA-developers If you want more out this phone with ICS. 3D features are still unique to this phone, as no new 3D phone has come on the market since. If you can find it cheap, then i recommend it and get it upgraded to ICS using LG's support website.
This is my second LG Thrill that I'm purchasing. First one ended up under a car. Gladly purchased another one rather than looking for another phone. It's quick to respond to things and good screen size for travelers that want something smaller to watch news clips or the like. The 3D is fun to play with, but not a reason alone to get the phone. Love the HDMI hookup. Use frequently to connect to the TV. Doubles as work phone and has never let me down when working on things in the office or in another state.
